The printer comes with a cartridge that is nice, but Canon unexplained cheaply by not including a USB cable. This creates many headaches during setup, as the only other option in addition to USB Setup is to connect via network. When you try to do that, you’re facing all kinds of firewall notifications and a wizard that doesn’t detect a device (at least in my case) that leaves you in a dead end. Add the (literal) bureaucracy that they have wrapped in each nook and cranny on the device and you look at a real and unnecessary pain to configure the printer. The disc included with the machine does not automatically take you through the setup, but gives you a lot of files. I ended up downloading the drivers from an online source and ran out the shop to get the cable. It worked in the end, but was very frustrating and disappointing as far as the setup.
